The Indian premier league matches are now becoming more and more interesting and as a true cricket fan I am also drowned towards it. Yesterdays match of Chennai Super Kings Vs. Punjab Kings XI was quite exciting. The Chennai Super Kings were too heavy for Punjab kings XI and defeated them comfortably by 33 runs.
The Punjab kings XI IS, owned by Bollywood actress Priety Zinta, ( and her fiancée Ness Wadia) is next only to Kolkata Knight Riders in creating hype. The team has many superstars like Yuvraj Sigh, Sreesant and Bret Lee who are nowadays seen many times accompanying movie stars or in advertisement rather than playing cricket. On the other hand, the Chennai Super Kings consists of performers like Mike hussey, MS Dhoni & Mutthiah Murlidharan. As expected performance took over the hype and Chennai Super Kings defeated Punjab Kings XI,
It is also true that the hype to some extent helps in keeping the team together, gathering support and motivating the team. But in both cases of Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings XI , hype is too much, need to be curtailed and both the teams need to concentrate on their performance.
Anyways, IPL has created lot of excitement around and I am glued to it. I will keep you posted about my thoughts on IPL
