Bangalore Challengers give Vijay Mallya Nightmares …

Vijay Mallya is considered a successful Businessman. Any Venture he enters, he makes sure that it is class apart and turns in to a profitable business. Be it liquor Industry, Fertilizers or airways. Add to it his flamboyant style adds a tinge of glamor in to the business.

But today he is probably having nightmares on his new venture. Cricket !!!. He had purchased franchise of Bangalore Royal Challengers at a very high price. (at 400 + crores, it is second only to Mumbai Indians team). . But his team is loosing match by match. Yesterday they again lost to Delhi daredevils by 10 Runs. In last two matches they came close to victory but slumped at the end due to lack of killer instinct. Now they are at the bottom of the table with 4 losses and one win.

I wonder how Vijay Mallya is feeling ?. He might be analyzing where he went wrong ?. Is his selection of team members is wrong ?. Probably yes. The team consists of more of test players, who would like to stay at crease for longer time. Otherwise why he has not gone for big hitters of 20-20 game like Andrew Symonds.Gilchrist or Robin Uttappa. Was his selection of captain is wrong ? Probably yes again. Rahul Dravid is a great Player and I have much respect for him. But He is more of technique oriented Batsmen rather than hit-everywhere type. Probably making him captain of 20-20 is not a correct idea as he again and again failed in leading from the front. His failure will only lower his confidence as a player and then as a captain.

Now how long Vijay Mallya will bear this. After all this is Business. He has invested too much in the team already. Roped in Katrina Kaif and also cheerleaders from Washington redskins at exhobirant price. All these are not worth anything if your team is at the bottom of the table in IPL league. But with his stong business acumen, Vijay Mallya is not going to bow down so easily. Lets see how he is going to make royal challngers a successful venture.
