Bangalore Royal Challengers make their exit from IPL …

The bangalore Royal Challengers lost one more match yesterday against Delhi Dare devils. The Delhi daredevils won the match by 5 wickets. There were some tense moments in between when Delhi daredevils lost 3 quick wickets, but finally they managed to chase 154 runs and register a win. With this defeat Bangalore royal challengers are out of this year’s IPL Tournament and Delhi Daredavils were able to break thier loosing streak.

The high point of match for Bangalore Royal Challengers is the new found hero Sreevats Goswami and some excellent batting by Misba. Royal Challengers did a right job by keeping Mark Boucher in Bench and bringing in new face Sreevats Goswami. Goswami played like a mature player and scored half century. He has already impressed many in his debut and if he bats like this he will one day play for India for sure.

It is interesting to see now how Vijay Mallya reacts to the failure of his team. He has already sacked his CEO Charu Sharma and expressed his outburst against Captain Rahul Dravid. Whether Dravid is the next man to be sacked atleast as a captain. But who can take his place. No actions are going to give results now. Bangalore were never able to get their rhythm right and  they lost many close matches which otherwise could have been easily won. One they start loosing, external pressure mounted on them and they kept on loosing.

For the next season, they need to have a fresh team combination. Inclusion of some hard hitting players is very much necessary. They also need to get few finishers to their side. Their bowling looks ok. I am sure Vijay Mallya will get himself involved and ensure the right combination. Dravid’s future in  IPL is uncertain now as a captain, but as a batsman he has done his job. Jack Kallis, Mark Boucher may not be there in playing eleven next time as well.

We can only wish them all the best for the next season now

Critically yours

Kiran
