Arushi Murder Case & Honour Killing …. Father arrested … Can he go so extreme ???

The Noida Police have finally cracked ( supposedly) the Arushi Talwar murder case. After so many days of interrogation, Noida police have zeroed on Arushi’s father Mr. Rajesh Talwer. The police say that Aarushi Talwar as well as servent Hemraj knew about the illicit relationship of Rajesh Talwar with one Dr. Anita Durrani and this prompted Rajesh to kill his own daughter and Hemraj.

The murder seems to be well planned and both were killed by slitting throat. Police also said that Arushi and Hemraj knew about extra marital relationship of Rajesh Talwar and Rajesh Talwar didn’t like thier closeness and decided to kill both of them. Police also are also interrogating Arushi;s mother Nupur Talwar

I am surprised how a father can kill his own daughter. Some news agency also reported that Arushi and Hemraj themselves shared a close relationship. Few questions are raised. Whether this is a honor killing as Mr. Talwar came to know about the close relationship between Arushi and house help. Whether Rajesh Talwar killed his own daughter to cover up his extra marital affair or killed her because of her relationship with househelp Hemraj. What is role of Arushi’s mother ? Why if at allshe supported the murders? Whatever it may be difficult to digest that a father killed her daughter to cover up his own mistakes. If it is true, it is extremely sad that we have such people in our society. This is extreme of honour killing. People sometime do blunders without knowing its consequences. I am totally perplexed after hearing this. Finally a 15 year old lost her life .

The police version still has lot of loopholes and story is half told. There may be several other reasons for this murder. Until proven Dr. Rajesh is innocent. Only time will reveal this case completely. lets watch out.

Lets pay homage to innocent Arushi

Critically yours

  1. it is hard to believe that afather could kill his only daughter in such cold blood . I feel india is the only country still upholding moral values and family attachment. though there has been a deterioration but such a horrendous act from a person who as a doctor surely would have known the value of life,is unbelieveable.even if we believe as the police says then the father could have committed the crime ina way that would not have made him the prime suspect, being a doctor.looking at the circumstances it seems there is someone who was harbouring a deep grudge against the doc and was friendly to the servant at the same time and could manage afriedly entry.he with the sole
motive of vengeance killed the deceased, created circumstances
that would make thefather the prime suspect.ifeel the people who have already been interrogated ,those who have stressed on the docs illicit affair should be questioned again.eg-the compounder
it is possible a sedative in the form of spray was used and hence the parents slept while the daughter was being killed in the very next room they woke up late that morning, should be noted.the theory, the police offers sounds ridiculous and has many loopholes of course in the absence of a motive and the weapon.

  2. The Talwar case is a confusing one. Based on the public record thus far, it is difficult to ascertain whether these were dishonor killings.

We want honorcide to be classified as a hate crime and we advocate for every existing hate crime legislation to be amended to include honorcide.
