Deccan Chargers were conseidered to be favourites for winning the IPL DLF Cup prior to start of the tournment. The team is having few very good players like Andrew Symonds, Adam Gilchrist, Rohit sharma, Chaminda Vyas, VVS Lakshman, RP Singh and Shahid Afridi. All these players are individually excellent players and key members of respective country teams. But now they are danger. Today Deccan Chargers lost their second consecutive match in IPL tournament to Delhi dare devils by 9 wickets. The match was almost one sided with no resistance or fightback from Deccan Chargers.
What went wrong??? Too many Individual performers who could not put together their skills and failed as a team or was it a casual attitude. Somehow the seriousness and urge to win was missing in Deccan charger Players Today. One exception off course is Young Lad Rohit Sharma, who is improving day by day and has a bright Future
How could one explain for such a poor performance of players like Symonds and Gilchrist. During bidding process of players for IPL teams, Deccan Chargers( Owner of Deccan Chargers) had aggressively bid for Symonds ( at Rs. 5.4 Crores,his price is next only to MS Dhoni). But where is the return on investment. Both Symonds and Gilchrist need to do some self Analysis and come out fully charged for the next match and show that they are worth of their price.
