Sarkar Raj …. Sequel better than the first .. A Review

Ram Gopal Varma is back and this time with lot of applause . After dismal performance of “Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag”, the director/producer makes a impact with “Sarkar Raj” and reproduces his best, better than his earlier hit movies Satya, Shiva or Sarkar.

Sarkar Raj

The Sarakar Raj story revolves around a power plant project. Anita (Aishwarya Rai ) is a CEO of MNC and wants to set up a power plant in Maharastra and ask for Help from Sarkar. The Shankar Nagre, Young Sarkar (Abhishek Bachchan) quickly realizes the benefits of this project to people and subsequently convince his Father Subhash Nagre ( Amitabh Bachchan), who was initially opposed to the project. The Young Sarkar along with Anita visits villages of Maharashtra to convince people about benefits of the Project and subsequently come across opposition from various quarters most of then politically motivated. The second part of the movie becomes very interesting and throws many surprises, mostly unexpected. Watch the movie and enjoy these surprises.

Abhishesk Bachchan again emerged as a brilliant actor and has given a perfect shot to his role. His role mostly serious, was delivered without any error. Abhishek is now on his way to league of big actors after his performance in Yuva, Guru, Sarakar and now Sarkar Raj. Amitabh Bachchan as usual done his best and given most lovable performance. Aishwarya Rai too has given her best and especially as a CEO, role

Seriel Kisser Emran Hashmi gets one more kiss at IPL … One more way of getting publicity

During break of yesterday’s Match between Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab, serial kisser Emran Hashmi was spotted dancing with Cheer leaders of Deccan Chargers. After the dance was over, two cheer girls kissed Emran Hashmi in cheeks leaving impression on his cheeks. Unaware of this, Emran Hashmi even gave a interview to a TV channel with the kiss impression on his cheek.

It is not sure , which team he is supporting or about his interest in cricket. But he was there for more than just cricket. All this was for getting publicity for his forthcoming film “Jannat”. Who else apart from bollywood stars know to capitalise any situation to take advantage and get publicity ?

Black & White…….A movie with lot of colors

Very rarely, I watch movies in Multiplex nowadays, rather I prefer watching them at home. But I had some leisure time and went to a multiplex to watch “Black & White”

I was little flabbergasted to see a different kind of movie from Subhash Ghai. The movie is about a Jehadi suicide bomber (played by newcomer Anurag Sinha) whose only aim is to bomb red fort during RD Parade.

Black & White….

He comes in contact with a Hindu professor of URDU ( Anil Kapoor) and his firebrand wife ( Shefali Chaya). As he is ready to set his mission for bombing Red fort, the circumstances and acquaintances with professor & his family and neighborhood makes him realize “life is full of colors… not just black & white”

As usual Anil Kapoor was at his best and Shefali Chaya showed her acting ability. Newcomer Anurag Sinha showed his talents… but need to improve little bit.

Few Actors like Famous theater artist Habib Tanvir showed superb acting and his presence in movie added a tinge of serious humor.

The storyline is good except at some moment director lost his track and is not able to give clear messages. The transition of Numair ( Anurag) from Jehadi to protagonist is not shown properly and it looks as if he suddenly realizes and becomes a good man. Few moments like murder of Shefali and sequences after her murder are also not very clearly shown. However Anil Kapoor’s acting after the of murder his was Excellent.

The message given by the film is also not clear. In the end Anil Kapoor says Killing a terrorist is not a solution, as it will lead to vicious circle of revenge. Instead change his character and send him back to his country of origin. I am not sure how much this is practical, but definitely the director has shown a new point here.

Somehow this story relates to Dr. Gilani, Profeessor of Urdu at JMU who was accused of helping Parliament attackers in 2000.

Finally I give this movie “3 stars”. You can enjoy watching this movie.
