Seriel Kisser Emran Hashmi gets one more kiss at IPL … One more way of getting publicity

During break of yesterday’s Match between Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab, serial kisser Emran Hashmi was spotted dancing with Cheer leaders of Deccan Chargers. After the dance was over, two cheer girls kissed Emran Hashmi in cheeks leaving impression on his cheeks. Unaware of this, Emran Hashmi even gave a interview to a TV channel with the kiss impression on his cheek.

It is not sure , which team he is supporting or about his interest in cricket. But he was there for more than just cricket. All this was for getting publicity for his forthcoming film “Jannat”. Who else apart from bollywood stars know to capitalise any situation to take advantage and get publicity ?

Indian Premier League…Blend of Cricket, Entertainment & Business

Today Indian Premier League (IPL) will be lunched . This will probably start a new era in history of cricket or at least the hype created about IPL force us to think like this. Cricket is now more than just a game.It is now a mixture of sports,entertainment and business.

I wonder Whether IPL is business, cricket or entertainment. With cricketers from all around the world, cine stars like SRK, Priety Zinta also getting involved and many business tycoons like Vijay Mallya, Nes wadia and Ambhanis actively participating , the IPL has gone much behind just a cricket. Cricketers were auctioned for hefty sums, the cine stars using this as an opportunity to image building and business tycoons looking at their return on investment, the IPL promises to give all..drama,excitement, takeovers, attacks and counter attacks. BCCI will be aiming to add more moolah to their already rich kitty. All cricket crazy fans of India will be happy to have some more cricket. So probably everyone will be a winner

We have fancy names like Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knightriders, Chennai Super Kings etc. Add to it we also have Cheer landers, Team anthem, logo for each team and over and above teams also have their own ad campaign. The league will definitely generate lot of interests. But what is important is to see how this will be sustained. In line with the Hockey premier league,which was launched some time back, IPL should not loose its identity. But considering the cricket crazy India, many hope the interest will sustain and probably be more successful.

Last but not least all the credit for this goes to ICL , rebel Indian cricket league for initiating such a wonderful format and forcing BCCI to initiate this.
